Welcoming Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan and the Embassy's delegation, Pakistani Minister of Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi affirmed that the visit will contribute to enhancing understanding, promoting cultural connections between the two countries, especially connections between localities, and promoting tourism between the two countries.
The Minister also stressed the importance of preserving and promoting the unique cultural heritage of Pakistan - an ancient civilization with relics of Gandhara Buddhism and UNESCO-recognized sites.
The Minister introduced prominent heritage sites such as the Stupa in Islamabad, and invited the Delegation to visit, experience and coordinate the development of spiritual tours, combined with adventure tourism in high mountain areas such as K2, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and local economic development.

The Minister wants to connect and invite Vietnamese art troupes through the Embassy to participate in the annual cultural event "Lok Mela - Lok Virsa Folk Festival" held in Islamabad, attracting hundreds of thousands of participants, thereby promoting the diverse cultures of each country and the international community in Pakistan.
Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan congratulated Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on his appointment as the Federal Minister in charge of Heritage and Culture; and expressed his deep impression when visiting the museums in Taxila, Lahore, Swat, which preserve precious relics of Gandhara Buddhism, the origin of Buddhism and from here spread to countries in Central Asia, China and Northern Vietnam.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the similarities in cultural values of the two countries, especially in terms of Buddhist Heritage in general, which is a cultural bridge, contributing to promoting understanding and connection between the people of the two countries. Through close cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Culture of Pakistan and the Embassy of Vietnam, the two sides can effectively implement exchange programs, organize cultural festivals and heritage management training projects, especially promote tourism development, meeting the increasing needs of the people of the two countries.

The Embassy representative also proposed implementing specific cooperation programs such as signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between leading museums of the two countries, promoting cultural exchange programs, organizing folk culture festivals, as well as training in sustainable heritage tourism management. Vietnam is willing to share its experience in heritage conservation and cultural tourism development to create economic benefits for local communities.
