Carrying out the work of "Repaying gratitude" in Long Coc commune: Responsibility, feelings from the heart

“Repaying gratitude” is a beautiful traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people. The act of showing gratitude and taking care of families of war invalids, martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions is not only a responsibility, but also a sentiment coming from the heart of every citizen of Long Coc commune. Implementing good policies for people with revolutionary contributions will contribute to social stability, gradually improving the lives of people with revolutionary contributions and their families.

Long Coc commune leaders visited and presented gifts to families of people with revolutionary contributions in the area.

Long Coc commune has 80 beneficiaries of preferential allowances for people with meritorious services. Carrying out the work of "Repaying gratitude", every year, the commune develops plans, assigns targets, and launches a campaign to support the establishment of the "Repaying gratitude" fund to agencies, units, residential areas, businesses and individuals inside and outside the commune and has many practical activities to express gratitude and deep gratitude to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

In recent days, Long Coc commune has organized many practical and meaningful activities to respectfully commemorate the merits of the homeland's outstanding sons who fought bravely, sacrificed or left part of their blood and bones on the battlefield for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happy and peaceful life of the people.

Caring, visiting, giving gifts and many other meaningful activities not only contribute to taking care of the material and spiritual lives of families with meritorious services but also arouse solidarity, demonstrating the good morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people.

Regarding the work of caring for policy families in the locality, comrade Dinh Thi Binh, Vice Chairman of Long Coc Commune People's Committee, said: 100% of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people in the locality are cared for by the commune and receive timely and appropriate benefits. The commune has reviewed, proposed and directed the completion of the removal of 12 temporary houses for policy families. On the occasion of the July 27 anniversary this year, in addition to gifts from the Central and provincial levels, the commune organized visits and delivered 107 gifts to policy families in the commune (total value of over 45 million VND); repaired and visited martyrs' graves in 5 residential areas in the area.

The commune facilitates policy families to access loans to increase production, business, and develop the family economy . Thanks to these meaningful activities, the lives of policy families are equal to or higher than those of other households. Many examples of war invalids and policy families have strived to develop the economy for their families and society, such as Mr. Ha Van Luc in Muc Thanh Phu area, Mr. Ha Cuong Quyen in Can area, Mr. Ha Viet Bao in Mang 1 area, etc.

To effectively implement preferential policies for people with meritorious services, Long Coc commune continues to do a good job of propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws on preferential policies for people with meritorious services; widely launching the movement "Repaying gratitude", the whole population takes care of people with meritorious services to the country; creating favorable conditions for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services, and families of people with meritorious services to continue promoting the spirit of self-reliance, developing production, improving life and participating in social activities, actively contributing to the cause of building the homeland and the country.
