Implementing the tourism development project to 2025, with a vision to 2030

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 12 to implement the Project on tourism development in Quang Ngai province to 2025, with a vision to 2030 in 2024, with the aim of raising awareness and action, promoting the combined strength of sectors, levels and people to focus on developing tourism in the province, striving to gradually turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the spirit of Resolution No. 05 of the Provincial Party Committee.

Invest in synchronous development of transport infrastructure associated with tourism infrastructure, improve traffic connectivity to relic sites and tourist attractions; call for investment in entertainment activities to serve local people and visitors. Improve the quality of waterway passenger transport services on the Sa Ky - Ly Son, Da Nang - Ly Son, Cua Dai - Ly Son, Big Island - Small Island, Ly Son district and Dak Drinh hydropower reservoir routes; continue to develop the network of routes, quality of bus, taxi and electric car operations connecting to tourist attractions; research and develop inland waterway routes on Tra Khuc River connecting Thien Ma Cultural Area - Tinh Long community tourism. Carry out the work of preserving, embellishing, upgrading, and effectively promoting historical and cultural relics, revolutionary historical relics, and religious works to serve tourism development. Develop a project/plan to form a walking street and night market in Quang Ngai city and the districts of Ly Son and Binh Son. Develop community tourism development models. Promote the value of Sa Huynh culture associated with tourism development; develop a community tourism model around An Khe lagoon.

Conduct surveys and develop outdoor tourism products (trekking), explore nature, and community culture at potential locations. Conduct surveys of tourism resources in districts, towns, and cities to advise, orient, and support localities in developing community tourism, agricultural tourism, and rural tourism. Organize a seminar on developing agricultural and rural tourism in Quang Ngai province in 2024. Implement the Rural Tourism Development Program in building new rural areas; support the development and implementation of pilot models for rural tourism development, green, responsible, and sustainable rural tourism products.

Restore and expand the tourism market and tourism routes . Implement tourism promotion and advertising to attract visitors in the traditional target markets of Hanoi and the northern provinces, Hoof Chis Minh city and other provinces and cities in the region. Direct and guide travel businesses to continue to develop and exploit tours with intra-provincial and inter-regional tourism routes; focusing on linking product development, markets, connecting tours, routes and tourist destinations with provinces in the key economic region of the Central region to attract tourists from domestic and international tourism markets.
