What did the U22 Vietnam striker share about the Hanoi Police Club?

Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac said he really wanted to play for the Vietnam U22 team at the 33rd SEA Games and was lucky that the head coach of the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) created the conditions for him.

“I told coach Mano Polking (head coach of CAHN Club) that this is my first SEA Games, the fans are really looking forward to this tournament. I hope he understands and creates conditions for me to have the best time to integrate. Luckily, everything went smoothly,” striker Nguyen Dinh Bac shared on the afternoon of December 2.

It is important to note that the SEA Games are not part of the FIFA tournament system, so clubs have the right to retain players. CAHN Club itself is entering a period of intense competition. Coach Polking's team will meet Bruriam United (Thailand) again in the Shopee Cup 2025/2026 match on December 3; then they will continue to compete with Tai Po Club in the AFC Champions League Two on December 11. However, CAHN still decided to "release" the trio of Nguyen Dinh Bac, Pham Ly Duc, and Pham Minh Phuc.

Talking about the current situation of the Vietnam U22 team, Nguyen Dinh Bac said that the whole team is in very good spirits and ready for the goal of winning all 3 points on the opening day. Dinh Bac said: "The whole team is very excited and determined. It's hard to say anything in advance, but we will try our best to have a favorable start."

When asked about the 3-0 victory of the Vietnam U23 team over the Laos U23 team in the opening match of the Southeast Asian U23 tournament last July, Dinh Bac emphasized: “Each tournament is a different story. The teams in the region have all improved, so tomorrow's match will definitely not be easy. We must concentrate to get the desired result.”

The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 Laos will take place at 4:00 p.m. on December 3 ( Hanoi time).

On the afternoon of December 2, at the press conference before the match with Buriram United Club, head coach Mano Polking of CAHN Club affirmed the importance of this confrontation.

"Both teams cannot afford to lose. This match will be as tense as a final and the outcome will be decided by the smallest details. We need 100% concentration." - Coach Polking shared. Sharing the same opinion with his teacher, goalkeeper Nguyen Filip also expressed his determination: "CAHN Club's goal is 3 points to take the right to self-determination".

The match between CAHN and Buriram United will take place at 7pm on December 3 (Hanoi time). CAHN is currently ranked 4th in Group A, 1 point ahead of the Thai representative.
