Tien Giang: Supervising the implementation of social assistance policies in Tan Phuoc district

(ABO) On May 7, the delegation to monitor the implementation of social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries in the district, led by Deputy Director of Tien Giang Provincial Department of Health Nguyen Thi My Nuong, had a working session with the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc district on the implementation of social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries in the district. Receiving the delegation was Vice Chairman of Tan Phuoc District People's Committee Do Thi Thu Trang.

In the morning, the Supervision Delegation visited Hung Thanh commune to review the implementation of social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries; activities of the Council for determining the level of disability; and to check records of implementation of social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries and records of determining the level of disability.

After that, the Working Group had a working session with the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc district. According to the report of the People's Committee of Tan Phuoc district from July 2024 to April 2025, there are 3,290 beneficiaries of regular social assistance in the community, including: 8 orphans, 4 people with HIV from poor households, 26 single people from poor and near-poor households, 932 elderly people, 1,842 disabled people, and 478 people caring for people with severe disabilities.

The monitoring aims to evaluate the implementation of social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries in the district; grasp the practical implementation of policies; activities of the Council for determining the level of disability; promptly detect difficulties and obstacles to propose solutions and recommendations for implementation in the coming time.
