Applications for renewal and reissue of driver's licenses will continue to be accepted from February 6th.

Today, February 5th, the Quang Tri Department of Transportation announced that it has resolved the software system errors in driver's license printing and will resume accepting applications for license renewal and reissuance at the Provincial Public Administration Service Center and on the Public Service Portal from February 6th.

Previously, the Department of Transport issued a notice temporarily suspending the acceptance of applications for renewal and reissuance of driver's licenses from February 3rd until further notice due to a malfunction in the driver's license management software system of the Vietnam Road Administration that could not yet be fixed or perfected.

It is known that in 2024, the Department of Transportation issued directives to implement, rectify, and improve the quality of driver training and testing at driver training facilities in the province. Simultaneously, it completed the connection and sharing of driver's license data from Quang Tri province with the Quang Tri province's shared database.

Driving license examinations were conducted for 9,216 individuals applying for A1 licenses; 3,769 individuals applying for car driving licenses; and 13,479 licenses of all categories were renewed. Notably, 7 training courses were implemented to train illiterate people from ethnic minority communities for A1 driving licenses, and 965 individuals were successfully tested and issued licenses.
