According to information from Giacaphe.com, coffee prices today, June 4, 2025, in key areas in the Central Highlands have had remarkable developments.

Specifically, coffee prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong both decreased by VND1,000/kg, down to VND116,500/kg. Similarly, coffee prices in Lam Dong also decreased by VND1,000/kg, down to VND116,000/kg. Gia Lai recorded a decrease of VND1,000/kg, reaching VND116,300/kg.

In general, the Vietnamese coffee market today has a downward trend, with a decrease of 1,000 to 1,500 VND/kg in key regions. This can be explained by the abundant supply after the peak harvest. However, the weakening of the Vietnamese Dong against the USD is also a factor to note, as it can affect the export price of Vietnamese coffee in the world market.

News, forecast of coffee prices tomorrow June 4, 2025

The domestic coffee market on June 3 continued its downward trend compared to the previous trading session. Meanwhile, the world coffee market had mixed developments, with increases and decreases on major exchanges such as London and New York.

Experts say that the continuous decline in coffee prices from last week to early this week partly reflects the pressure from abundant supply in the market. In the first half of 2025, coffee prices fluctuated strongly due to the combined effects of increased production and global economic fluctuations.

Last week, the international coffee market recorded a sharp decline. Robusta prices fell by $280 per ton, while Arabica also lost nearly 18.8 cents per pound. This was the lowest price for Arabica in many weeks and the lowest for Robusta in more than 6 months. The main reason for the price decline was high inventories and abundant supplies.

Businesses say that Vietnamese coffee prices are currently higher than those of competing exporting countries, causing trading activities to slow down. In addition, transportation costs are also increasing, especially when the market is concerned that the end of the US tariff suspension is approaching, affecting trade and export costs.

According to experts, in the short term, if there is no major change in supply, coffee prices may continue to be under downward pressure.

With the current developments, domestic coffee prices tomorrow are likely to remain stable around 117,000 - 117,500 VND/kg. Domestic supply is still abundant, export activities are being strictly controlled, and domestic demand has not yet shown any new breakthroughs.

However, the global coffee market remains unstable. High inventories continue to be the main pressure on Robusta and Arabica prices. The strengthening US dollar is also putting pressure on commodities, including coffee, to sell off. Weather factors in major production areas are also being closely monitored. With these factors, Arabica prices are likely to fluctuate slightly upward, while Robusta prices will still be under slight downward pressure in the short term.
