The whole province discovered and arrested 671 cases of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

On the morning of May 8, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods (Steering Committee 389/Provincial DP) held a meeting to evaluate the results and implementation of tasks in the first 4 months of 2025 and deploy directions and tasks for the coming time.

Since the beginning of the year, the member sectors of the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP have closely coordinated, unified and supported each other in inspecting, controlling and handling violations. In 4 months, the whole province has detected and arrested 671 cases with 756 subjects violating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; of which, 163 cases with 228 subjects were criminally prosecuted, over 500 cases with 528 subjects were administratively sanctioned. The total amount of money collected for the state budget is over 12.6 billion VND. Particularly for establishments producing and trading in milk, dairy products, medicines, health protection foods, medical equipment, medical examination and treatment... the authorities have inspected 179 cases, handled 146 cases, and administratively sanctioned over 1 billion VND.

Leaders of the Provincial Market Management Department reported on the results of the work against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

In the coming time, the member sectors of the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP will continue to closely follow the developments of the commodity market, especially food products that directly affect people's health, strengthen inspection and post-inspection work, promptly detect and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.

At the meeting, delegates discussed the market situation, advantages, difficulties, and solutions to improve the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the province in the coming time.
