On the morning of November 2, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a friendly meeting with a delegation of exemplary individuals nationwide in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle in 2023.
Also attending were: Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Department Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Chief of the Party Central Office Le Minh Hung... and 67 typical examples nationwide in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in 2023.
These are typical collectives and individuals representing good models and creative ways of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, bringing practical results in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, social security, and prevention and control of social evils.
Through the report of the Central Propaganda Department and the opinions of some delegates, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was pleased to see that in the past 5 years, the Central Propaganda Department has annually launched emulation movements and organized voting and honoring of typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the capital city of Hanoi.
In the previous 4 years, 102 typical delegates were honored. In 2023 alone, there were 67 typical representatives.
The typical examples come from all over the country, operating in different sectors, fields, and localities, but they all have one thing in common: They all have made great efforts and have achieved many outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; always closely united, persistently striving, overcoming all difficulties, upholding the spirit of innovation, creativity, daring to think, daring to speak, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility for the common good.
More than anyone else, the typical collectives and individuals honored and rewarded in 2023 are all beautiful flowers in the beautiful flower garden, filled with the fragrant colors of the heroic Vietnamese people, the glorious Party and the great Uncle Ho.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, warmly congratulating, praising and thanking the typical examples of their dedication, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stated that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh left our Party, our nation and our people an extremely noble legacy, which is: Ho Chi Minh Thought, Ho Chi Minh's morality, Ho Chi Minh's style and Ho Chi Minh Era.
In which, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are a priceless treasure of revolutionary spirit that we - every generation of Vietnamese people today and tomorrow, must always strive to learn and follow, forever preserve and promote; consider it the crystallization of noble spiritual values, becoming the standard for building, reviving culture, and building Vietnamese people in the new era.
For nearly 20 years, since 2006, our Party has had a policy of launching a widespread campaign throughout the Party, the entire people, and the entire army to study and follow Uncle Ho. From the practice of innovation, awareness of Ho Chi Minh's ideology and legacy has become increasingly deeper and more complete.

Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are a complete and integral system.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized: “We not only see in Uncle Ho a shining example of morality and style, but also see the whole system, the integrity of values, vitality and meaning of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. We not only try to study hard to raise awareness, enrich our understanding of his life and career, but also try to follow his instructions and advice in a simple, practical and effective style. He often reminds us that theory must be closely linked to practice, learning must go hand in hand with practice, saying must go hand in hand with doing; consistency between words and deeds, thoughts and actions. Following his instructions, we must combine studying with following; studying is the premise, the condition; following is practicing and applying creatively, actively and voluntarily. At the same time, we should promote the role and responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially leaders, thereby encouraging all classes. People strive to compete to build and develop the country, creating real and sustainable progress and development.
Studying and following Uncle Ho, setting an example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is an important content, a main task, and also a fundamental method to create widespread influence and social effects, bringing his ideology, morality and style into life. That is also the Party's major policy, once again affirmed in Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021 of the 13th Politburo.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that studying and following, along with the responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, is a strategic, fundamental and long-term policy to build and rectify our Party to be truly clean and strong, worthy of being the leader and loyal servant of the people.
Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, each cadre and party member will become more correct and healthy in their perception and action; strive to improve revolutionary morality, have the courage to fight, self-criticize, and wipe out individualism; be diligent, frugal, honest, impartial and selfless; directly contribute to building a clean and strong Party and political system. Enhance responsibility for the people, especially the responsibility to set an example of the leader, so that our Party is truly "moral and civilized"; our State is truly "a State of the people, by the people, for the people".
The Front and mass organizations are truly an environment of democracy, solidarity and mass mobilization, supporting and encouraging the people to uphold their role as masters, to exercise their democratic rights and to be truly masters. That is the profound purpose and the important strategic significance of studying and following Uncle Ho.

Learning and following Uncle Ho is a cultural need.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted that studying and following Uncle Ho needs to be constantly renewed to become an intrinsic need of each person and the whole society; a cultural need full of humanity and creativity in the way of organizing education and propaganda, attractive enough to attract, appeal, and inspire each person, each family, each organization, group, agency, unit, at all levels, sectors, from the central to local and grassroots levels; from within the country to abroad, including the Vietnamese community studying, working, and living abroad.
For many years now, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has been a persistent cultural and spiritual need, a beauty of cultural values and lifestyle of our entire Party, people and army. Going beyond the scale of a campaign in 2006, up to now, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become a cultural need, a value in the spiritual life of each person, each organization, first of all in the political life of the Party.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong emphasized: "What becomes culture becomes profound, profound, sustainable and has strong influence. Correct perception, creative action, Ho Chi Minh culture will transmit an important source of motivation for us to build a system of national values, a system of cultural values, a system of values of Vietnamese people in the Ho Chi Minh era, creating motivation for us to continue promoting innovation and creativity; proactively and actively integrating comprehensively and deeply into the international community; seizing new opportunities and fortunes, overcoming all challenges and risks to build a country that develops faster and more sustainably."
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong believes that the collectives and individuals honored this year will continue to strive, learn and practice regularly; preserve and promote the noble titles they have been honored with, spread their effects and influence and set an example in society.
With today's commendation and reward, the patriotic emulation movement will develop more and more deeply; there will be more and more typical examples from collectives to individuals nationwide in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; creating a strong driving force for our entire Party, people and army in the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; developing our country to become increasingly prosperous, rich, civilized and happy, as beloved Uncle Ho always expected, contributing to making his ideology, morality and style forever eternal with the cultured and heroic Vietnamese nation.
