Ho Chi Minh City established a Steering Committee for key public investment projects and works.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc has just signed Decision No. 1568/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Steering Committee for key public investment projects and works of the City.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing, replacing Decision No. 2075/QD-UBND dated May 23, 2025.

The Steering Committee is headed by Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc; Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong holds the position of Permanent Deputy Head.

Members include leaders of the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Justice, Department of Culture - Sports, Department of Science - Technology, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Health; Deputy Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; leaders of the Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, Urban Railway Management Board, Civil - Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.

According to the decision, the Department of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the tasks, powers and operating mechanism of the Steering Committee; at the same time, review and supplement the list of key public investment projects and works, to be completed by September 2025.
