This past weekend, our extended family chose Green Island to gather together and experience a newly opened tourist destination located on the border of Lam Dong and Dak Lak provinces.
From the center of Cu Jut commune (Lam Dong), we traveled about 25 km along National Highway 14 and then turned onto Provincial Road 2 to Ea Na commune (Dak Lak). Our group arrived at the bank of the Serepok River. Before our eyes was an oasis surrounded by green bamboo trees, completely separated from the mainland. From the wharf, our group bought tickets, priced at 150,000 VND/person, and were picked up by a barge to the island, starting our journey to explore Green Island.
Right from the gate, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and guided inside to complete the necessary initial procedures. After that, our group was arranged a cool coconut-leaf-roofed stilt house - one of dozens of houses located along the riverbank, with a rustic decoration but fully equipped with necessary items such as: electricity, fans, hammocks, mats, wifi... The thatched house is the initial gathering place for tourists to stop to rest, store luggage and prepare for a day of experience at Green Island.
At the head of Green Island, there is a very large stone, clearly marking the meaning of the location: This is the river junction - the border between the two provinces of Dak Lak - Lam Dong, the confluence of the two rivers Krong No (Father River) and Krong Ana (Mother River), the muddy and clear streams flow in parallel, originating from the majestic West Truong Son range of Chu Yang Sin, coming here to join together to give birth to the Serepok River.

Here, visitors can clearly see a vast landscape of sky and water - the natural boundary between the two communes of Ea Na (Dak Lak) and Nam Da (Lam Dong). Besides the green space, the most attractive thing for visitors when coming to Green Island is participating in activities that require high physical activity. The tourist area arranges 100 bicycles for visitors to cycle around the trails on the island and admire the green rice fields. If visitors do not like cycling, electric cars will take them around the island for free.
Visitors can also participate in land games such as: soccer, volleyball, archery, crossbow shooting, rope walking, swinging, seesaw... The most interesting are water sports such as soup boat rowing, balance bridge, swinging. Each game is adventurous, requiring players to show their bravery and wear life jackets to prevent unfortunate accidents.
In the tourist area, there is also a small water park, with a variety of games, attracting a large number of young tourists to participate, making them laugh excitedly. At noon, tourists can order lunch and enjoy rustic dishes such as grilled chicken, grilled fish, bamboo rice, betel leaf soup... at reasonable prices.
Green Island also has fully equipped wooden lodges along the riverbank and a campsite with lovely huts nestled in the middle of a green garden, ready to accommodate overnight guests. Guests can also take a canoe around the island and experience the view from the Serepok River.

According to the staff here, Green Island has just come into operation, is still in the stage of investing in additional items but has attracted tourists from everywhere to visit and relax, especially during holidays, welcoming thousands of visitors every day.
After a day of exploring many interesting things, our group finally said goodbye to Green Island with much regret when the sun set. Everyone was happy and excited because the beauty and rusticity of Green Island brought everyone interesting feelings.
