Mr. Trinh Quoc Viet currently lives in My Da village, Nhan My commune. His house was built in 1941 and has now seriously deteriorated. The roof is dilapidated, the structure is no longer sturdy, and is potentially dangerous during the rainy and stormy season. Mr. Viet himself is old, weak, and his family's economic situation is difficult, so he cannot afford to repair it himself.
Through the connection and mobilization of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Ha Nam province, Venerable Thich Thien Tam, Abbot of Hoa Lam Pagoda (Dong Du commune, Binh Luc district) donated 20 million VND to help renovate and upgrade the house for member Trinh Quoc Viet.
Thanks to the attention of the Youth Volunteers Association at all levels, and the timely support of relatives and benefactors, after nearly a month of construction, the 63m2 house has been renovated, ensuring solidity and safety, helping Mr. Viet's family live in peace.
The activity of donating funds for house repairs not only demonstrates the morality of “remembering the source of water when drinking water” and deep comradeship, but also affirms the role of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers in connecting and mobilizing social resources to care for the lives of members in difficult circumstances, who have made many contributions to the construction and protection of the Fatherland.
