Microsoft has just shared the Work Trend Index 2023 report showing that many people are worried about losing their jobs because they fear artificial intelligence (AI) will replace them, but they also want to hand over their work to technology to support as much as possible.

Based on a survey of 31,000 employees from 31 countries, the report found that while 59% of respondents admitted to fearing job loss due to AI, they still wanted to hand over as much work as possible to this technology.

This is seen as a similar trend among the leadership class. When asked about the benefits of AI in the workplace, 31% said that increasing labor productivity was the top priority, followed by automating work (29%), improving employee well-being (26%) and creating an environment for high-value work (25%). Reducing staff was the least popular answer (16%).

According to Mr. Lee Ji Eun, CEO of Microsoft Korea, many people are aware of the role and influence of AI in work. It brings a new way of doing things, empowers individual creativity and leads the success of an organization.

Meanwhile, Oh Sung Mi, head of a division of Microsoft, said that although digital technology helps us work more efficiently, many tasks still need to be done by humans when overloaded. AI applications also help support better creative ideas.
