Special exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam-Korea relations.

On the afternoon of December 10th, the opening ceremony of a special exhibition themed "The Big Dipper: Friendship Connected by Light" took place at the Korean National Assembly Hall. The exhibition showcased light sculptures of President Ho Chi Minh by Vietnamese artist Bui Van Tu and works about Korea by Korean artist Moo-E.

The exhibition is organized by the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association (KOVECA), the Office of Parliamentarian Kang Jun-huyn, Aju Economic Newspaper, in collaboration with Dai Viet Light Sculpture Company, to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (December 22, 1992 - December 22, 2025).

Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition were: Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son, President of the Korean Constitutional Association Jeong Dae Cheol, Korean Member of Parliament Seo Young Kyo, and nearly 300 delegates representing Vietnamese associations in Korea, members of the National Assembly belonging to the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group…

Speaker of the Korean National Assembly Lee Won Sik and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam Nguyen Van Hung sent congratulatory letters.

In his opening remarks at the exhibition, Ambassador Vu Ho emphasized that, with the theme "The Big Dipper: Friendship Connected by Light," the exhibition is a meaningful cultural exchange activity organized to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and the 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea. The event is even more significant as it is being held at the Korean National Assembly building.

Ambassador Vu Ho highly appreciated the efforts of the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association in coordinating with relevant units to organize the exhibition; and at the same time requested the Korea-Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association to continue creative activities to spread the spirit of cooperation, friendship, and shared vision for peace, development, and prosperity of the people of Vietnam and Korea.

Highly appreciating the initiative of the relevant units in coordinating the exhibition, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son expressed his hope that the Vietnam-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group would continue to organize parliamentary diplomacy activities in a more practical and diverse way between the two countries, becoming an effective bridge between public diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy of the two nations.

In his congratulatory letter, Speaker of the Korean National Assembly Lee Won Sik stated that President Ho Chi Minh's spirit of unifying leadership also offers many valuable lessons for Korea today.

Chairman Lee Won Sik highly appreciated the significance of the exhibition, considering it a wonderful demonstration of artistic exchange between the two nations, and conveying a message of hope that the two countries will become shining stars guiding each other's path under the symbol of the North Star.

The exhibition will run from December 10th to 12th, 2025.
