The South Korean coach affirmed that the entire team is in good mental and physical condition, ready to aim for all three points.

Coach Kim Sang Sik said that the Vietnam U22 team had a week to prepare after their opening victory against Laos U22. “All 23 players are in good physical condition. Tomorrow’s match is very important and the whole team is mentally ready to aim for the best possible result,” he emphasized.

Assessing their opponent Malaysia, coach Kim Sang Sik said that the coaching staff had directly observed and thoroughly analyzed their playing style. According to him, Malaysia possesses a good physical foundation and a powerful and fast-paced attacking style.

"We are fully prepared both physically and tactically. Professional meetings and the players' serious training spirit have given the whole team confidence in achieving our goals," said coach Kim.

With U22 Malaysia needing only a draw to secure first place in the group, and U22 Vietnam needing a win to secure their place in the semi-finals, the South Korean strategist affirmed that his team would take a proactive approach to the game.

"I always remind the players that tomorrow's match is not just a group stage game, but more like a knockout match. The Vietnam U22 team must aim for victory," he said.

Regarding the opinion that the first half of the match against U22 Laos wasn't particularly explosive, coach Kim Sang Sik stated that the team created many opportunities but didn't capitalize on them. "The first matches always have certain difficulties. But the team will improve with each game. The victory against U22 Laos will help the players gain more confidence for the upcoming goals," he shared.

Coach Kim Sang Sik also stated that the team's fighting spirit is high. "I understand that the national team's recent 0-4 loss to Malaysia has created some pressure. The U22 players feel a sense of professional pride, so they are focusing all their efforts on preparing for this match," he said.

The match between Vietnam U22 and Malaysia U22 will take place at 4 PM tomorrow (December 11th), and is considered a decisive match for first place in Group B and a ticket to the semi-finals of the men's football tournament at the 33rd SEA Games.
