At exactly 3:54 p.m. on August 1, the emergency flight from Gia Lam airport on EC 155-B1 helicopter with registration number VN-8624 took off from Gia Lam airport with Lieutenant Colonel, Pilot Le Hai Dang, Deputy Director of the Company and members of the VN-8624 Flight Crew urgently set off to carry out the mission. After nearly 1 hour, at 4:50 p.m., the VN-8624 Flight Crew of the Northern Helicopter Company, Army Corps 18 reached the location of the isolated victims.

After nearly 50 minutes of emergency, the flight crew rescued 8 people, including 7 adults and 1 child, who were isolated due to floods.

Despite the complicated weather conditions, the flight crew skillfully controlled the helicopter to a safe landing point. A representative of the Northern Helicopter Company said: “We are always ready to receive and carry out rescue missions in all situations, with a spirit of urgency, precision, and absolute safety. Each flight is not only a military mission but also an order from the heart of a soldier.”

The successful patient rescue flight once again affirmed the bravery, capacity and high sense of responsibility of the Northern Helicopter Company in peacetime.
