Documentary exhibition on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification in Bac Ninh

This is one of a series of practical activities of Bac Ninh province to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025), and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Attending the exhibition were comrades: Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Thi Hang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Held at the provincial museum and library, the exhibition of documents "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification" and "Bac Ninh in the resistance war against the US, saving the country" was jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province and the provincial Literature and Arts Association.

The Documentary Exhibition Area “50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification” at Bac Ninh Library with more than 4,000 books arranged according to 3 topics: Vietnamese literature and art from 1975 to present; Bac Ninh literature and art from 1975 to present and The Great Spring Victory of 1975 - The Immortal Epic.

The Organizing Committee also displays award-winning works at provincial, regional and national levels in the fields of: Literature, folk arts, fine arts, photography, music, theater, architecture; and Dong Ho folk paintings.

In particular, there are 80 documentary photos about the developments of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising. The full-text thematic bibliography includes 3 volumes: Topic: "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification", 1,223 pages thick, printed on A3 size in full-text digitized form, published in print and integrated on the website, information pages managed by Bac Ninh Library.

Tourists visit the exhibits.

The theme “Bac Ninh in the resistance war against America, saving the country” is displayed at Bac Ninh Museum. Nearly 300 typical images, documents and artifacts are selected and displayed according to 3 themes.

Topic 1, The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - The strength of great national unity: Introduce the historical context, the development process of the resistance war against the US to save the country, the peak of which was the Ho Chi Minh campaign and the great historical value and significance, the stature of the times, the positive influence of the resistance war against the US to save the country on the revolutionary movement in the region and the world.

Topic 2: Bac Ninh in the resistance war against the US to save the country: Introducing typical images of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Bac Ninh during the years of the resistance war against the US to save the country, carrying out the task of consolidating the rear, building socialism, participating in providing human and material resources to the battlefield; defeating the destructive wars of the US imperialists, contributing with the whole country to make the offensive and uprising in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South, and unifying the country.

Veterans enthusiastically visit the exhibition area.

Topic 3: Bac Ninh innovation, integration and development: introducing outstanding achievements in economics, politics, culture, society, education... of Bac Ninh province since its re-establishment until now.

In addition, there will be thematic talks on the topic: "The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - Aspiration for Peace" presented by Colonel, Dr. Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Institute of Defense Strategy and History; screening of documentary films about the Great Victory of Spring 1975; water puppetry performances; educational activities to experience the "National Reunification Day".

Mr. Trinh Huu Hung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh, said that the exhibition of documents "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification" and "Bac Ninh in the resistance war against the US, saving the country" is associated with major holidays and anniversaries with the hope of introducing many valuable documents and materials to visitors and readers. Thereby, arousing love for the homeland, national pride, revolutionary struggle tradition, aspiration to contribute, build and develop a prosperous and happy country among all classes of people, especially the young generation.
