China has just introduced a group of seven humanoid robots that will serve at the 2025 World Games , taking place from August 7-17, 2025 in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.

At a press conference introducing the innovative achievements of the robot industry in Sichuan province on December 27, Mr. Liu Sha (Chengdu Bureau of Economy and Information Technology) said that the activities that these robots will participate in include torch relay, sports exhibitions, guest reception and retail services.
Sharing with Xinhua, Mr. Liu Sha emphasized that the launch of these humanoid robots "marks an important breakthrough in the field of advanced robot development in Chengdu".
Developed by Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (CHRIC), the robot team includes six prototype robots and one robot in the concept design stage.
Most notable among them is the humanoid robot Honghu, which, according to CHRIC Chairman Zhang Ruirui, is equipped with a “powerful brain” that allows it to understand, reason and perform tasks like a human.
Honghu is the first robot in China to use a high-speed inference model based on a diffusion structure together with a multi-modal robot model. This allows the robot to receive information from multiple dimensions, accurately interpret abstract concepts, and quickly plan tasks.
CHRIC's goal is to “provide innovative intelligent solutions in a wide range of application areas, from industrial production to home life, through robots like Honghu,” said Zhang Ruirui.
The World Games are the highest level international sporting event for non-Olympic sports.
