Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and University of Chile contribute to deepening friendship and cooperation

From October 30 to November 1, within the framework of the working program in South America, the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile coordinated with the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics led by Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the Academy, on a visit and work in the Republic of Chile.

On October 30, in the capital Santiago, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong and the Embassy's staff welcomed and attended a working session between the Academy delegation and the Institute of International Studies (IEI) - University of Chile.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam introduced the role of the academy in training and fostering leaders, researching political theory and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and expressed his desire to expand academic cooperation, exchange experts and build joint research programs between the two institutions.

Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong highly appreciated the significance of the working trip, saying that Vietnam and Chile have many similarities in development orientation and international integration, and emphasized that cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the University of Chile contributes to deepening the friendship and South-South cooperation between the two countries.

With the support of the Embassy, ​​the two sides agreed to promote the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in training, research and scholar exchange in the coming time.

On October 31, the delegation went to Ho Chi Minh Park in the capital Santiago to offer flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh. The ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, expressing respect for the great leader of the Vietnamese people and appreciation for the friendship of the Chilean people.

The delegation visited and worked at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile. At the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong discussed with the delegation the situation of Vietnam-Chile relations, cooperation directions in the fields of education , culture, people-to-people diplomacy, as well as activities of the Vietnamese community in the host country.

The working trip of the delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, with the close accompaniment and support of the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile, contributed to promoting academic cooperation, expanding cultural exchanges and strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Chile.
