Saigon University withdraws official dispatch 'no capacity assessment' for 5 majors

On July 28, Saigon University received an official dispatch from Ho Chi Minh City National University regarding the addition of a percentile table equivalent to the competency assessment test scores (ĐGNL) for the two admission groups of the high school graduation exam score method, A00 and C00.

From there, Saigon University has enough basis and will perform equivalent conversion between the two above methods for the school's admission majors using the DGNL method with the original admission combinations being A00, A01, B00, C00, C01, D01.

Therefore, Saigon University revokes the previous announcement about "not using the method of considering the GPA score to consider admission for majors with the original combination of A00 and C00".

Last week, the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the framework for converting admission scores based on the National High School Graduation Exam scores and admission scores based on the 2025 High School Graduation Exam scores.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the equivalence percentile table between the National High School Graduation Exam score and the high school graduation exam score according to the admission combinations A01, B00, C01, D01.

The above percentile table does not have an equivalent conversion in the A00, C00 combination.

Therefore, Saigon University issued a notice stating that: there is not enough basis to perform equivalent conversion. At the same time, the school does not use the method of considering the DGNL score to consider admission for majors with the original combination of A00 and C00.

This means that the school's 5 majors do not use the National High School Exam method for admission, including: History, Geography, Information - Library Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science (excluding teacher training majors that the school announced do not consider the National High School Exam scores).
