Mr. Lo Duc Thao, Principal of the school, said: In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 27 classes and 890 students. Building a green - clean - beautiful pedagogical environment has always received enthusiastic support from staff, teachers, parents and students. Implementing the model "Each class has a small flower garden", the school has directed classes to use plastic bottles and old tires as flower pots. Students directly take care of, water plants, sort garbage, and create beautiful landscapes.

In addition, the school maintains a “Green Star” team that gathers students who are active in protecting the school’s green space. Hoang Ngoc Bich, a 7A student, shared: My friends and I regularly water the plants, pick up trash, and take care of the flower garden. I am very happy because I contribute to making the school greener and more beautiful. From there, it also helps me form habits and awareness to preserve the living environment.
At Chieng Ban Primary and Secondary School, the "Greening the Classroom" movement has been strongly implemented. The rows of shady trees and colorful flower pots create a vivid picture of the school, close to nature. Teacher Lo Thi Phong, homeroom teacher of class 3A2, said: Bringing trees into the classroom helps students have more positive emotions and be more interested in learning. In teaching, we integrate environmental education content into subjects, helping students understand and practice environmental protection from the smallest actions.

Chieng Mai commune currently has 5 kindergartens, 5 primary and secondary schools, and 1 high school. With the goal of greening the school environment, from the beginning of the school year, schools clearly assigned responsibilities to each professional group and class in planting and caring for trees, flower beds, and cleaning classrooms; regularly checking and repairing electrical systems, windows, wall paint, and sunshades, maintaining a bright, clean, and beautiful learning environment.

The movement to build “Green Schools” is also integrated into teaching and extracurricular activities. Many useful programs are organized such as: “Green Friday”, “Creative Recycling Corner”, “The Flower Garden I Take Care Of”... Through that, students can learn, practice life skills, love nature, live more responsibly with the community, contributing to improving the comprehensive education quality of each school. Up to now, the whole commune has 8 schools that meet national standards, of which 5 schools meet level 1 standards and 3 schools meet level 2 standards.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chieng Mai Commune, emphasized: The commune continues to maintain and expand the model of "Green School - Clean Village", creating a connection between the school and the community. Students are encouraged to become "green ambassadors" in each family, mobilizing relatives to plant trees, save energy, reduce plastic waste, and equip environmentally friendly learning equipment. At the same time, strengthen propaganda in the community, spread good actions, meaningful movements to build a green - clean - beautiful living environment.
The efforts in building "Green School" in Chieng Mai commune have brought positive results, creating a friendly pedagogical environment, educating students with high awareness and responsibility for the living environment.
