Deploying ethnic and religious work

On November 5, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions held an online conference at 75 points in communes and wards in the province to deploy ethnic and religious work after operating a two-level local government.

At the Conference, delegates were informed and guided on: The national target program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Son La province, period 2026 - 2030; Decree No. 272/2025/ND-CP of the Government on demarcation of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2026 - 2030; the work of eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses; the work of reviewing and identifying ethnic groups that still face many difficulties and specific difficulties according to Decree No. 255/2025/ND dated September 29, 2025 of the Government for the period 2026 - 2030; reporting regime in religious and belief work according to Circular No. 09/2025/TT-BDTTG dated August 29, 2025 of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions regulating the reporting regime in the field of ethnic and religious work.

The conference aims to improve the capacity and expertise of cadres and civil servants working on ethnic and religious affairs at all levels, ensuring the synchronous and effective implementation of ethnic and religious policies after operating the two-level local government model; contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, maintaining political stability and social order and safety in the area.

The conference was deployed online to 75 points in communes and wards in the province.

Speaking at the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions requested communes and wards to continue to speed up the progress of disbursing investment capital from the National Target Program for the Development of Ethnic Minority Areas, Phase 1, by 2025; develop a plan to implement Phase 2 (2026 - 2030); effectively implement policies for ethnic minorities, ethnic officials, and prestigious people; grasp the situation of beliefs and religions, ensure political security, social order and safety in the area. Manage the activities of religious organizations in the province according to regulations, support legal religious activities in accordance with the law.
