On November 1 (12th day of the 9th lunar month), teachers and students of Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc held a ceremony to commemorate the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868-2025). This is an annual activity to pay tribute to the national hero.

In a solemn and proud atmosphere, the flower offering ceremony was performed by teachers and students of Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc in front of the statue of Mr. Nguyen, which was placed solemnly in the school campus. The collective of cadres, teachers, staff and students of the whole school respectfully commemorated the merits of the national hero, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national salvation.

Vice Principal in charge of Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc Bui Nguyen Khanh Binh said: "The incense offering ceremony is not only a memorial activity, but also a vivid lesson about patriotism, indomitable spirit and strong will, thereby following the example of Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc, living responsibly for oneself, family and the Fatherland."

Classes organize pancake making after the flower offering ceremony

After the ceremony, the school yard became bustling with the activity “Banh Xeo Making Experience”. Students from grades 10, 11, and 12 prepared ingredients and showed off their pancake-making skills under the guidance of teachers. Each golden, crispy pancake was not only the result of ingenuity but also contained the spirit of solidarity of the school’s youth.

After completing the pancake making, each class chooses the most beautiful and delicious pancake to respectfully offer to Mr. Nguyen.

Nguyen Nhut Cuong, a student of class 11A7, shared: “I feel very happy and proud to participate in this meaningful holiday. Not only did I offer flowers to commemorate Mr. Nguyen Trung Truc, but I also experienced making banh xeo with my friends. I understood more about my hometown’s traditions and loved the school named after him even more.”

For Pham Thi Kim Ngan, a student of class 11A3, attending the ceremony was a memorable experience. Kim Ngan said: “When I heard the teachers talk about the life and brave fighting spirit of the old man, I felt very proud and grateful. I realized that today's young generation must strive to study and train well to be worthy of the name of the school and continue the indomitable spirit that the old man left behind.”
