Accordingly, on April 24, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 821/QD-TTg to transfer and appoint Major General Nguyen Ba Luc - Commander of the 34th Corps to hold the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
Major General Nguyen Ba Luc, born in 1972, is from Thanh Huong commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.
In October 2023, while holding the position of Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the 3rd Corps, Colonel Nguyen Ba Luc was appointed by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to hold the position of Commander of the 3rd Corps.
In December 2024, Major General Nguyen Ba Luc was appointed Commander of the 34th Corps after the Ministry of National Defense dissolved the 3rd and 4th Corps, establishing the 34th Corps.
