From June 1, 2025, Hung Yen Provincial Social Insurance will stop printing paper health insurance cards.

From June 1, 2025, Hung Yen Provincial Social Insurance will stop printing paper health insurance cards (including cases of requesting to reissue and exchange health insurance cards).

Health insurance participants continue to use the previously issued paper health insurance card or use the image of the health insurance card on the VssID digital social insurance application and the VneID electronic identification application with chip-embedded Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) to present when going to see a doctor or get treatment instead of the paper health insurance card.

Social insurance only issues new paper health insurance cards for cases where VssID, VNeID applications cannot be installed and there is no chip-embedded CCCD.

Relevant agencies and units shall coordinate with the local social insurance agency directly managing the collection in collecting, supplementing, and completing information of health insurance participants who do not have a personal identification code/CCCD on the data system managed by the social insurance sector. To be completed before May 30, 2025.

Relevant agencies and units coordinate with the Social Insurance agency in guiding health insurance participants to install and use the VssID and VNeID applications to use the health insurance card image when going to see a doctor or receive health insurance treatment.

In case of difficulties or problems in installing the VssID application, the unit directly managing the health insurance participant shall provide instructions on installing VssID or contact the Social Insurance agency where the health insurance participant is registered for instructions and support on installing VssID.
