From a soldier in Vi Xuyen to a successful businessman

At the end of 1985, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, born in 1962, returned to his hometown in Nguyen Khe village, Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi after being discharged from the Vi Xuyen front. The young couple lived separately in a thatched house of only 20 square meters, with only 20 kg of rice and a load of dried cassava, so rice mixed with potatoes and cassava was normal. He thought that if he only stuck to the fields, he would forever be stuck in poverty, so he was determined to find a new direction.

So in 1990, Mr. Thuyet and his wife boldly borrowed capital and entered the business world. From small-scale trading, in 2001, Mr. Thuyet established Dong Anh Industrial Gas Company Limited, headquartered in Nguyen Khe Industrial Cluster, Phuc Thinh Commune. With favorable production and business, in 2014, veteran Nguyen Van Thuyet continued to expand the factory in Ky Anh District (now Ky Anh Commune), Ha Tinh Province. Up to now, his company has become a prestigious enterprise in the field of manufacturing and supplying industrial gas, medical gas, and civil gas to many factories and hospitals across the country; annual revenue reaches nearly 100 billion VND, paying 4-5 billion VND to the budget, creating stable jobs for hundreds of workers.

Veteran Nguyen Van Thuyet always believes that success is not only about profit but also about spreading the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the responsibility of a soldier-businessman to his homeland and country. Therefore, along with taking care of economic development, he also actively participates in social work, helping his comrades. Every year, his company supports hundreds of millions of VND for activities of building new rural areas, building roads, and helping the poor. In addition, veteran Nguyen Van Thuyet also holds many important positions in association organizations such as: Vice President of the Hanoi Veteran Entrepreneurs Association; President of the Dong Anh Veteran Entrepreneurs Association; Vice President of the Vi Xuyen-Ha Tuyen Front Veterans Association in Dong Anh area...

In any position, he is exemplary, active, and wholeheartedly supports members, especially the young generation starting businesses. Looking forward, veteran Nguyen Van Thuyet plans to gradually transfer the business to the next generation, expand the scale of production, and create more jobs for local workers.
