Immediately after the disaster, Regiment 887 ( Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command) mobilized more than 40 officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate with the militia of Nguyen Nghiem commune, police and local forces to help people clean up the scene and re-roof their houses.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Canh, Deputy Regiment Commander and Chief of Staff of Regiment 887, said: The unit received the mission that night and urgently deployed its forces: "The officers and soldiers of the Regiment carried out the mission promptly with the motto "Serving the people", focusing on helping people overcome the damage as quickly as possible to stabilize their lives."

At the scene, the militia force of Nguyen Nghiem commune was also present throughout to support the people. Comrade Nguyen Thinh, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nguyen Nghiem commune, informed: "The commune mobilized all local forces, giving priority to supporting the elderly and single households. The goal is to ensure that people have temporary shelter today."
