Tung Duong was honored by the Japan Music Awards.

Music Awards Japan 2025 (MAJ 2025), Japan's most prestigious and reputable international music awards, honored singer Tung Duong with the International Special Awards.

Tung Duong is the only Vietnamese artist honored by the 2025 Japan Music Awards.

The MAJ 2025 organizing committee has sent a notice to Tung Duong and the male singer of " Rebirth " confirmed that he will come to Japan to attend the award ceremony taking place on May 21 and 22 at the ROHM Theater Kyoto at the invitation of the organizing committee. The award ceremony will honor Japanese and international music artists in 60 award categories, broadcast live on Japan's National Television NHK.

This award is presented on the basis of cooperation between the MAJ organizing committee and the Devotion Music Award of the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency). This is the first time a Vietnamese artist has received this honor, marking an important step in the journey of bringing Vietnamese music to the international arena.

MAJ 2025 awards are based on objective data from the top prestigious music charts in Japan such as Oricon, Billboard Japan and JASRAC, combined with votes from more than 5,000 industry experts. Tung Duong is considered an artist with a musical orientation that meets the award criteria, with a strong creative mark and far-reaching influence.

In the music “race” of more than 20 years, Tung Duong has always strived to innovate, experiment with many music genres and constantly improve himself. He is also the artist who holds the record of 14 times winning the Devotion Music Award, an award that recognizes outstanding contributions to popular music life.

Sharing upon receiving the good news, Tung Duong expressed his pride and emotion: “This is a great honor not only for me personally but also for Vietnamese music. I hope there will be more Vietnamese artists with national identity reaching out to the world .”
