Bac Kan youth visit heroic Vietnamese mothers, light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

BBK - On the evening of April 29, Bac Kan Provincial Youth Union held a candle lighting ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) at the provincial martyrs' cemetery, Phu Thong Fort Historical Site (Bach Thong district); visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Martyrs' Mothers.

In the sacred and solemn atmosphere at the provincial martyrs cemetery, Phu Thong Fort Relic Site (Bach Thong), delegates and youth union members and children respectfully offered flowers to the monument of the Fatherland and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the martyrs who heroically sacrificed for national independence. More than 200 graves at the provincial martyrs cemetery were also warmed and lit with incense sticks and candles in respectful gratitude.

Expressing gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood and bones to fight for independence and peace for their homeland and country, Mr. Trieu Tien Trinh, member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Bac Kan Provincial Youth Union, on behalf of the young generation of Bac Kan, expressed gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed to regain independence and freedom for the Fatherland, so that today's young generation can live in peace, prosperity and development.

The youth of Bac Kan vows to remember the great contributions of previous generations and promises to continue to preserve and promote the heroic revolutionary tradition of their homeland. Continuously study, practice, improve political qualities, intelligence and skills, actively participate in building the homeland of Bac Kan to develop comprehensively, contributing to building a strong Vietnam.

After the incense and flower offering ceremony at the monument to the Fatherland's merits, delegates, union members, and youth lit candles and offered incense and fresh flowers to each martyr's grave resting at the provincial martyrs' cemetery and the Phu Thong Fort Relic Site.

Also on the evening of April 29, 2025, 100% of the Youth Union chapters in the province lit candles in gratitude at martyrs' cemeteries and memorial steles in communes, wards and towns in the province. This is not only an opportunity for today's generation to express gratitude, but also a profound reminder of the responsibility to inherit and promote the noble values ​​that previous generations did not hesitate to sacrifice their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

On the same afternoon, the Provincial Youth Union visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Nhuong, residing in Na Pai village, Vi Huong commune, (with 2 children, Tran Van Dung (born in 1951), Tran Binh Nhuong (born in 1958), both of whom died in the resistance war against the US to save the country) and martyr's mother Hoang Thi Dai (mother of martyr Nguyen Cong Hoan) in Khuoi Then village, Tan Tu commune, Bach Thong district.

At the same time, they wished the mothers a happy, healthy and prosperous life, to be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren to continue the revolutionary tradition of the family, contributing more to the development of the homeland and the country.../.
