U23 Vietnam in the U23 Asia qualifiers: Coach Han wins all

TPO - Looking back at the achievements of U23 Vietnam in the U23 Asian qualifying campaign, we can see that, under the guidance of Korean coaches, the young Golden Star Warriors may not often create eye-catching performances, but they always win.

If we maintain the top position in Group C of the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers, Vietnam U23 will have the 6th consecutive time participating in the AFC U23 Championship Finals. That means, since the 2020 qualifiers, Vietnam U23s have been unbeaten in all 10 matches. During this period, the young Golden Star Warriors have won 9 and drawn only 1 match (2-2 with Singapore U23s in the 2022 qualifiers, when led by coach Philippe Troussier).

If only considering matches under the direction of Korean coaches, U23 Vietnam won all 7 matches, including 5 matches under coach Park Hang-seo and 2 matches under coach Kim Sang-sik. The caution, always ensuring the balance between attack and defense, and at the same time prioritizing results of the Korean coaches also brought impressive statistics: scoring 16 goals and keeping a clean sheet in all 7 matches.
