A view of the seminar "Promoting the application of artificial intelligence in education and training - Benefits and challenges".
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; along with representatives from ministries, departments, educational institutions, etc., attended.
The seminar aimed to clarify the spirit of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, and Resolution No. 281/NQ-CP on promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW.
In his opening remarks at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Khac Van, Acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, stated that Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW identifies one of the strategic breakthrough tasks as "Comprehensive digital transformation, widespread adoption and strong application of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in education and training."
This is not just a guiding principle, but also a practical imperative, requiring the Vietnamese education sector to proactively adapt, innovate its thinking, models, and methods to catch up, keep pace with, and potentially surpass in global development trends.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Van, Acting Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, spoke at the seminar.
Referring to the potential of AI in education and training, Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa, Deputy Director of the Education Department of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, said that AI is ushering in an era of comprehensive transformation in education and training, contributing to reshaping teaching and learning methods, management, administration, and evaluation of education and training quality on a global scale.
For Vietnam, applying AI and exploiting its potential, superior features, and outstanding capabilities in education and training is not only a technical requirement but also a political and strategic task to build and develop high-quality human resources in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, in accordance with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
In this context, Vietnamese education and training must be proactive, innovative, and have a long-term vision in developing digital and AI capabilities for students, teachers, lecturers, and education administrators.

Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa presented her paper at the seminar.
To unlock the potential of AI applications in education and training, Vietnam needs to adhere to the "human-centered" approach, develop comprehensive capabilities, foster creative thinking, and build an open, flexible, and humane education system.
"If managed correctly, AI will not only be a technical tool but will become a strategic resource for successfully fulfilling the mission of breakthrough development in education and training," said Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa.
Sharing insights on groundbreaking AI applications in general education, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Lan, General Director of EMG Education Group, stated that EMGEducation has been implementing AI in conjunction with the Metaverse (virtual universe) for many years, opening up a digital school model where students not only acquire knowledge but also experience, interact, and create in vibrant, virtual learning spaces, not limited by physical space. This represents a powerful shift from traditional learning to experiential and multi-dimensional learning and exploration.
Meanwhile, Ms. Do Ngoc Chi, Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School in Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, believes that digital transformation in education is not just about equipping with devices or software, but a journey of transforming people's awareness, culture, and capabilities.
When every teacher masters technology, using it as a tool to spark creativity; when every student learns, experiences, and knows how to use technology safely and humanely; and when every parent becomes a partner with their child in the digital world, then digital transformation will truly enter the life of education, becoming the soft power of a happy and smart school.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, delivered a speech at the seminar.
Concluding the seminar, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, requested that the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology promptly advise the Government to issue guiding documents for the implementation of the AI Strategy in Education, especially the AI Ethics Framework in Schools and AI programs and materials for the general education level.
Higher education institutions need to proactively train and lead in innovation, learning from successful models instead of passively depending on external solutions.
The business community needs to change its mindset, shifting from the role of passive "employers" to that of "co-creators" of human resources.
