This morning, October 26, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology organized HUFLIT Open Day to welcome nearly 7,000 new students with many exchange and experiential activities.
Here, new students enjoyed visiting the booths of Japanese and Korean clubs to experience the cultural space of these two countries and were introduced to the specifics of their majors by previous students.
Meanwhile, students who love hosting programs can come and learn from the Mic Club (MC, VJ club); those who love business can explore the food and beverage stalls of the Faculty of Business Administration.
There is also an area to introduce clubs such as volunteer clubs, music clubs, photography clubs...
Nguyen Thu Thuy, a new student majoring in business administration, said: "I am an extrovert so I really like joining clubs to improve my skills and balance my studies with extracurricular activities. I plan to join the Mic and Music Club."

Meanwhile, the school's Information Technology Department displayed products and application models researched, developed, and created by its staff. These included smart helmet systems, 3D printers, robots, compressed air/H2 leak detection systems, 3D printed keychains, etc.
Vu Thi Trang, a first-year student majoring in public relations, said: "I was very surprised when I visited the technology booth of the Faculty of Information Technology. The products and models not only inspired students studying technology, but also students from other majors. Living in the digital age, I think that no matter what major you study, you need to have knowledge of technology to support your studies as well as the necessary skills."
Sharing about this technology space, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, said: "In the digital age, the school aims to train technology human resources with three core competencies: applying technology to practice, critical thinking - problem solving and especially the spirit of integrity and honesty in learning and research. Arranging a creative technology space in the festival is the way the school brings that spirit closer to new students."
According to Associate Professor Dr. Vu, students were able to see with their own eyes the models and research products of their seniors, thereby understanding that the university journey does not stop at theory, but is a process of gradually turning ideas into products, and knowledge into practical value.
