Optimize production process
In order to transform the sustainable development model, Binh Duong is making efforts to implement a strategy to develop green industrial parks (IPs), new-generation industries, creating a foundation to attract quality investors in the fields of high technology, digital economy and artificial intelligence. In addition, Binh Duong promotes digital transformation in economic sectors, especially e-commerce, to connect with the global supply chain; deploy science and technology IPs and develop a circular economy.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, CEO of Lam Viet Joint Stock Company, said that as a business that has worked with "difficult" markets around the world for many years, the company has continuously adapted to increasingly stringent requirements from partners. Therefore, the company is interested in investing in categories related to green transformation, digital transformation, circular transformation and carbon transformation. Mr. Lam shared that in order to transform digitally and apply modern technology to optimize processes, businesses need to standardize production sites and standardize their management systems. Processes need to be rearranged, optimized, and operated continuously and smoothly to obtain accurate and clean data. In addition, production activities also need to be rearranged, followed by standardizing production flows. After all of that, we can begin to digitize the collected data and smoothly combine technology and production management.
“At Lam Viet Company, we have applied the ERP system (enterprise resource planning system) to each production stage, publicizing the origin of products and allowing accurate traceability of product information and the legal origin of the company's wood at each production and consumption step; at the same time, we have built a greenhouse gas inventory report from the software. The company also uses software to manage, maintain and repair machinery and equipment and automatic salary advance software for employees. In the period of 2025-2030, the company will build an action plan to reduce emissions by 10% per year compared to 2024 based on technology platforms,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam.
According to Ms. Le Thi Xuyen, General Director of Thuan An Wood Processing Joint Stock Company, sustainability and green transformation in wood products are no longer voluntary as before but have become mandatory conditions today. The United States and the European Union, which are demanding but stable markets and traditional markets for many wood enterprises in recent years, have increasingly tightened regulations on sustainability factors associated with environmental protection. In response to these requirements, the company continues to maintain the implementation of the ISO 9001-2015 quality management system and the FSC-CoC product chain management system; well controlling product quality, meeting customer needs.
Replicating effective models
