As planned, today (October 31) is the last day the State Council of Professors meets and considers recognition of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2025.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quoc Trung, Deputy Director of Campus II of Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City, candidate for Professor of Economics , the youngest in the country in 2025. He is a typical young citizen of Ho Chi Minh City in 2016.

Mr. Tran Quoc Trung was born in 1986, from Da Nang (formerly Quang Nam ).

Mr. Trung received his bachelor's degree in Economics in 2008 from Foreign Trade University.

In 2011 and 2012, he consecutively received two master's degrees, in Business Administration from Foreign Trade University and in Economic Law and Management from Lille 2 University, France.

In 2017, Mr. Trung received his PhD from Lille 2 University.

During his work, he was recruited as a lecturer by Foreign Trade University right after graduating in 2008 and has been with the school until now.

He has held positions such as lecturer, deputy head of department, head of department. In April 2020, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Trung was appointed as Deputy Director of Campus II of Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City at the age of 34.

Also in 2020, Mr. Trung was recognized as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor of Economics.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Trung's two research directions include financial management, corporate governance and enterprise risk management under the impact of the business environment; goods and service business in the context of international integration and digital transformation.

To date, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Trung has published 76 scientific articles, of which 35 articles are in prestigious international journals, 40 articles are published in domestic journals, and 1 article is published in an international online journal.

The candidate has 8 published books as editor or co-editor.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quoc Trung shared that since graduating, he has been teaching undergraduate and graduate training programs. He has also been recognized by the University of New Brunswick (Canada) and the University of Bedfordshire (UK) for meeting teaching standards in international joint programs.

In 2023 and 2024, he guided student groups to achieve many achievements such as second prize at the Ministry level in the "Science and Technology for University Students" award; 2 first prizes at the school level in the "Student Scientific Research" competition.
