Collision between motorbike and truck on Highway 1 leaves 1 person dead

At noon on July 31, the Traffic Police Department of Vinh Long Province Police was still coordinating with Long Ho District Police and functional forces to examine the scene and perform an autopsy to investigate the cause of the traffic accident that left one person dead.

According to initial information, at about 6:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. PHM (53 years old, residing in Long Thoi commune, Cho Lach district, Ben Tre ) drove a motorbike with license plate 71C4 - 098.82 on National Highway 1 in the direction from Vinh Long to Can Tho.

When going down the slope of Phu Quoi bridge (in Phu Long A hamlet, Phu Quoi commune, Long Ho district, Vinh Long), Mr. M's motorbike suddenly collided with a truck with license plate 60C - 366.30, driven by driver PVT (30 years old, residing in Phuoc Thien commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai ) going in the same direction.

Authorities examined the scene and investigated the cause of the accident.

The collision caused Mr. M. to fall onto the road, seriously injured, and was taken to the hospital by locals for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim later died.

Because it was raining at the time of the accident and it was near rush hour, there was a local traffic jam in the area. Mr. M's family said he was on his way to work in Can Tho City when the accident happened.

The above accident that caused one death is being further investigated by the Traffic Police Department of Vinh Long Province Police in coordination with Long Ho District Police.
