Why is there no mention of the Egyptian pyramids in the Bible?

Although coexisting in the historical context, the Bible - the most important religious history of mankind - does not mention the Egyptian pyramids at all. Why is there this "avoidance"?

The Bible is widely recognized by researchers as a historical source recounting events in the Middle East and parts of Europe from around the 2nd millennium BC. Yet, there is not a single line in the Bible mentioning the Egyptian pyramids.

There are many paradoxes in historical science , and this is one example: The Bible, widely recognized by researchers as a source recounting events in the Middle East and parts of Europe from around the 2nd millennium BC, contains no mention of the Egyptian pyramids.

Everyone knows that the Egyptian pyramids are truly a masterpiece, a marvel of engineering, a "jewel of construction" of both that era and the modern era. Is there some kind of conspiracy theory at play here?

A few words about the Egyptian pyramids: Is the god Thoth connected to the pyramids?

Let's just take this for granted – the gods who created Egypt and all the gods worshipped in Egyptian temples were once… human.

Please do not misunderstand – we do not mean to suggest that these deities were once mortals who suddenly (through some special merit) became divine.

The problem is that every Egyptian god had a real-life prototype – that prototype could be a great warrior, a wise ruler, a skilled physician, or an outstanding engineer.

Now, let me say a few words about the pyramids. It's a clear fact that even with modern technology, it's impossible to recreate the Egyptian pyramids exactly as they were originally.

Modern researchers have conducted numerous experiments, including transporting massive blocks of stone. But one thing they cannot deny: the Egyptian pyramids were truly complex structures, and to build them, the engineers must have possessed truly extraordinary abilities.

The man possessing those extraordinary abilities truly became the prototype of the god Thoth. A brilliant engineer named Thoth is believed to have played a major role in the construction of the Egyptian pyramids in the first half of the 3rd millennium BC.

Thoth later became one of the gods of the Egyptian pantheon. And much later, the Bible was written (the exact time of its writing is unknown, but it was at least a thousand years after the pyramids were built). What is the significance of all this?

"There is no other God besides..."

The Bible declares that there is only one God in this world, and it is He who gave the commandments to Moses, parted the sea, burned Sodom and Gomorrah... Other supernatural figures, although not denied by the Bible, are implied to be not divine, but evil forces, and worshipping them is not simply sinful but also life-threatening.

This raises a question: Did the ancient Jews know anything about the existence of the Egyptian pyramids? The answer can only be "Yes," because after all, the ancient Jews were slaves in Egypt for quite a long time, and they must have seen the pyramids.

Of course they must have known who built the pyramids, and how they built them. Don't forget that at the time, Thoth wasn't an engineer in the Egyptian perception, but a god. Considering what he is believed to have built, he was a rather powerful deity.

The mention of the Egyptian pyramids in the Bible would inevitably lead to the need to account for who built them, when they were built, and what the purpose of their construction was.

The pyramids are marvels of engineering and technological innovation, a fact acknowledged by humanity throughout history. Therefore, the authors of the Bible, whether they like it or not, must acknowledge the greatness of some pagan deity who built them, which completely contradicts the guiding principles of the Bible.

Let us not forget that the Bible, while a valuable source of information, is a special one—religious, mystical, and in a sense—propaganda.

What is discussed here is merely a hypothesis, but it is very close to the truth – a matter within the framework of scientific thinking.

Are pyramids useless?

If we consider the version of the Bible that is widely accepted by historians around the world , and summarize everything that is said in this version, the story would unfold as follows:

The Bible describes all sorts of calamities that befell the ancient Jews, their interactions with other peoples, including the Egyptians, and the path that led the ancient Jews to God.

Pyramids certainly existed at the time the Bible was written and throughout the events described in it. However, the pyramids could not have played any role in the Bible at all – they stood silently in the desert and nothing more.

It should also be noted here that the Bible's complete absence of any mention of pyramids indirectly refutes the hypothesis that they were built by Jewish slaves.

The Bible contains passages describing the involvement of Jewish slaves in the construction of some Egyptian cities, but it doesn't specify what structures they built.

Therefore, historians explain the Bible's absence of mention of the Egyptian pyramids as being due to the pyramids' lack of connection to the events described in the Bible.

Furthermore, this is also because the ancient Jews, in principle, did not know what purpose the pyramids were built for.
