Foreign language students have many options for job positions right after graduation. However, to find a job that suits your abilities and interests, you need to spend a lot of time.

Below are some suggested careers for foreign language students who have just graduated, you can refer to them.

Tour guide

Being a tour guide for foreign visitors is one of the jobs that many foreign language students choose after graduating. However, if you decide to do this job long-term, you need to study for a tour guide certificate, which is a requirement for any tour guide.

Normally, the salary of a newly graduated tour guide is at the lowest level, with a fixed salary right after graduation of about 5 - 7 million/month. However, for some good students, with skills, especially complete foreign language ability, they can receive an income equivalent to someone who has worked for 1 - 2 years.

When you have a lot of experience, you can get a salary from 15 - 30 million VND/month.

Foreign language teacher

Language majors at universities usually train translators and interpreters. Therefore, you can study for a certificate in Pedagogy to become a teacher at centers or privateeducational institutions.

Each center and educational institution will have different salaries for fresh graduates. If you are inexperienced, the starting salary you will receive will be around 5 million VND/month.

Interpreter

Currently, many news sites, newspaper offices and even publishing houses are recruiting a large number of translators. If you are a person with good foreign language skills, translation is definitely a very suitable part-time job at home.

For translation positions for fresh graduates, most employers create favorable conditions for you to gain more experience.

According to Ziprecruiter statistics, the current average salary of an interpreter can be among the highest-paying jobs at around 53,000 USD/year, equivalent to the interpreter salary in Vietnam of around 15 - 20 million VND/month depending on the size of each business and experience.

Other office work

With the knowledge and skills of foreign languages that you have learned, you can do office work at foreign or Vietnamese companies. Here, you will be in charge of work related to foreign affairs, cooperation, business and import and export with foreign partners.

In addition, you can also participate in negotiations, transactions, signing business contracts, and handling tasks related to speaking skills.
