Vietnam thanks China, Russia, Laos, Cambodia for sending soldiers to participate in the parade

This afternoon, the Ministry of National Defense met and presented gifts to military personnel from various countries participating in the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

Vietnam invited the Defense Ministries of the four countries to send troops to participate in the parade at the anniversary. By noon today, the Chinese military parade had arrived in Hanoi.

The four parade blocs are soldiers from the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army.

The participation of soldiers from international friends in the parade is a noble symbol of national solidarity, international solidarity for the goal of peace , cooperation, friendship and development. At the same time, it shows the recognition and respect of international friends for Vietnam's journey of struggle, construction and development, contributing to affirming the prestige and position of Vietnam and the Vietnam People's Army in the international arena.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, warmly congratulated and thanked the Government , Ministry of National Defense, and the armies of the countries that sent forces to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

We are very moved by the image of you, especially the image of the Chinese military comrades who just landed at Noi Bai International Airport and were able to come here to attend the intimate meeting," Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien shared.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense said that in just 3 days, Vietnam will hold a military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, and in particular, a general rehearsal will be held at 6:30 tomorrow morning.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien believes that the parade groups of the four countries will overcome difficulties due to time zone differences and living conditions to successfully complete their tasks together with the armed forces of the Vietnam People's Army and the Vietnamese masses at the historic Ba Dinh Square.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated and thanked the Ministry of National Defense and the armies of the countries, especially the 405 officers and soldiers participating in the important celebration of the Vietnamese nation.
