On December 4, 2025, President Luong Cuong sent a message of condolences to President Anura Kumara Disanayaka and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sent a message of condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Labor and Tourism Vijitha Herath.
