Vietnam and China promote exchanges, research and application of AI technology in life

Overview of the final award ceremony of the China-ASEAN 2025 ' Sports AI' Application Competition.

Consul of Science and Technology Nguyen Ngoc Bao represented the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou to attend the activities and participate in the final award ceremony of the competition.

The "Sports AI" application contest aims to promote exchanges and cooperation in research on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of sports, health and life; create a forum for universities, research institutes and startups in the region to introduce products, connect resources and expand international cooperation on the application of AI technology in smart sports in particular and social life in general.

The research team, consisting of two members, Nguyen Van Thang, Master of Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Technology , and Tran Thi Mai, Master of Computer Science, Ho Chi Minh City National University, represented Vietnam in the competition with the smart bracelet product "Sentinel Ring" and won second prize in the final round.

"Sentinel Ring" is a product that applies AI technology to monitor heart rate, analyze biometric indicators, locate the wearer in real time and issue a warning as soon as it detects signs of drowning risk.

With its outstanding features, Sentinel Ring is especially suitable for use in swimming pools, water parks, water entertainment centers and tourist areas along rivers, lakes and seas, contributing to supporting rescue forces to detect early and promptly handle dangerous situations, and is highly appreciated by the Organizing Committee and the Jury of the competition...

At the award ceremony, Consul of Science and Technology Nguyen Ngoc Bao spoke, affirming that AI is an important foundation in fields from healthcare, education, sports and social administration.

Researching and applying AI technology to life is a common development trend in the world in the future, including Vietnam.

New generation AI models enable real-time data analysis, personalize experiences, optimize operations, and open up more spaces for cooperation between scientists and the young generation of Vietnam - China - ASEAN in the coming period.

Consul of Science and Technology Nguyen Ngoc Bao, representing the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, presented the final prize of the competition.

On the sidelines of the event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao met and discussed with delegates from Research Units, Universities, Technology Enterprises of Guangxi and ASEAN countries participating in the event about strengthening coordination in AI start-up support programs, scientific research cooperation exchanges, short-term training, as well as connecting businesses in the fields of high technology and innovation.

The participation and speech of the Consul of Science and Technology, Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou at the China-ASEAN 2025 "AI Sports" competition shows Vietnam's interest in promoting technology cooperation in general and AI technology in particular between Vietnam and China and countries in the region.

In the coming time, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, specifically the Science and Technology Representative Section, will continue to promote its role as a bridge, accompanying agencies, research institutes and enterprises of the two countries in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, thereby contributing to deepening the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in a practical, effective and sustainable manner.
