The competition was organized by the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology (ISUT), Hanoi University of Science and Technology in collaboration with PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), with the aim of promoting the spirit of innovation among young people, improving research, design and application capacity of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), and at the same time finding highly practical technological solutions to serve smart agriculture , environmental monitoring, logistics, rescue... in line with the orientation of Industry 4.0 and sustainable development.
The program not only promotes patriotism, creativity and technological prowess of the young generation, but also encourages the contribution of UAVs to industrial development, ensuring security and safety and supporting emergency situations in Vietnam.

The opening ceremony took place in a solemn and exciting atmosphere with the presence of leaders of ministries, branches, representatives of research institutes, experts in the field of aviation - technology, universities, technology enterprises, and more than 500 students, fans and UAV enthusiasts.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Competition attracted more than 100 applications. After two rounds of preliminary selection and technical assessment, the Organizing Committee selected the 28 best teams to compete in the national group stage.
The teams are divided into 7 groups, competing against each other in turns for 3 days (December 3 - 5, 2025). The 7 group winners and 1 group runner-up with the highest results will enter the Quarterfinals - Semifinals - Finals (December 6 - 7, 2025) to determine the Champion team.

Through UAV CUP PV GAS 2025, the Organizing Committee hopes to build a sustainable bridge between academia - businesses - scientific community, creating conditions for creative ideas to be tested, implemented in practice and developed into valuable technology products.
