Vietnam has always attached great importance to strengthening friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Morocco.

The parliaments of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement in 2017. The Speaker of the National Assembly suggested that both sides review and continue to effectively implement the signed cooperation contents; further deepen parliamentary relations, actively exchange delegations at all levels and friendship parliamentary groups; further strengthen the exchange of best practices and valuable lessons between the two parliaments in various fields of activity, especially in legislation, and support each other in multilateral forums...

The Speaker of the National Assembly highly appreciated the fact that Secretary-General Najib El Khadi and members of his delegation attended the plenary session of the Vietnamese National Assembly at its 7th session and will hold talks with the Secretary-General of the Vietnamese National Assembly, Bui Van Cuong.

The Speaker of the National Assembly suggested that both sides share experiences in organizing the work and operations of the support staff of the legislative bodies of the two countries in order to promote parliamentary cooperation between the two countries; and also expressed the hope that, in his capacity as Chairman of the ASGP, Secretary-General Najib El Khadi would promote the exchange and sharing of experiences in the operation of parliaments of other countries with Vietnam.

During the exchange, the Speaker of the National Assembly expressed sincere gratitude for the heartfelt and loyal support and assistance that the people of Morocco gave to Vietnam during the years of the struggle for national liberation and reunification.

The Speaker of the National Assembly congratulated Morocco on its socio-economic development achievements, noting that it is the fifth-largest economy in Africa and the second-largest in North Africa.

The Moroccan football team is one of the strongest teams in the North African region. Although he has not yet visited Morocco, the Speaker of the National Assembly said that he has always had fond feelings and positive impressions of the country and its people.

The Secretary-General of the Moroccan House of Representatives expressed his sincere gratitude to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Tran Thanh Man, for taking the time to meet with him.

On this occasion, he warmly congratulated the Speaker of the National Assembly on his new position; and at the same time expressed his great pleasure to visit and work in Vietnam in his capacity as Secretary-General of the Moroccan House of Representatives and Chairman of the ASGP. This is an opportunity for both sides to discuss measures to further strengthen relations between the advisory and support bodies of the two countries' parliaments, thereby making a positive contribution to cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries both bilaterally and multilaterally.

Secretary-General Najib El Khadi said he had just attended the plenary session of the Vietnamese National Assembly; congratulated the Vietnamese National Assembly on its achievements in recent times in reforming and improving the quality and efficiency of its operations; expressed his impression of the innovations in the application of technology, digitalization, and document archiving... of the Vietnamese National Assembly, and said that these are exemplary models that should be replicated.

Emphasizing the friendly and multifaceted cooperative relationship between Morocco and Vietnam, Secretary-General Najib El Khadi emotionally stated that Vietnam will always be in the hearts of the Moroccan people.

In the current process of national development, the two countries share many commonalities, especially that the people of both countries are very hardworking, diligent, passionate about work, and have a strong will to succeed. The Secretary-General of the Moroccan House of Representatives shared that Moroccan leaders attach great importance to strengthening and promoting South-South cooperation.

Expressing admiration for Vietnam's significant achievements in national construction and development today, Secretary-General Najib El Khadi stated that Morocco always considers Vietnam's achievements as its own; the two countries have strengths that can enhance cooperation, thereby further strengthening bilateral relations.

Expressing his appreciation for Secretary-General Najib El Khadi's sincere affection for Vietnam and its people, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that parliamentary cooperation is one of the effective channels in Vietnam-Morocco relations.

The parliaments of both countries have maintained exchanges of delegations, high-level contacts, and close cooperation, supporting each other in multilateral inter-parliamentary forums at the global and regional levels.

During the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his gratitude to the President of the Senate and the President of the House of Representatives for their congratulations on his election as Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly; and respectfully extended an invitation to the President of the Senate and the President of the House of Representatives of Morocco to pay an official visit to Vietnam soon.
