
General Secretary To Lam congratulated the Ambassador on his excellent performance in his duties and his important contribution to upgrading the Vietnam-Singapore relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always consider Singapore a close friend, a reliable companion and a key economic partner; and wishes to continue promoting comprehensive and effective cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
Acknowledging Singapore's active support in training officials and building development policies. Recommending that the two countries continue to strengthen political trust, enhance strategic-level exchanges, promptly launch the Strategic Dialogue between the two ruling parties and effectively implement the Action Program on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, towards exemplary relations in the region. The two sides need to promote cooperation in areas such as digital transformation, renewable energy, carbon credits, source technology, innovation, logistics, aviation connectivity, maritime and power grids, making positive contributions to peace , stability and development in the region.
General Secretary To Lam sent greetings and thanks to the Singaporean Government for supporting Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
Ambassador Jaya Ratnam thanked General Secretary To Lam, expressed his impression of Vietnam's strong development, considered Vietnam his "second home" after nearly 5 years of work; believed that Vietnam will become a developed, high-income country by 2045. Affirmed that he will continue to contribute to promoting bilateral cooperation.
