At the world's largest bus and coach exhibition, VinFast will display two advanced pure electric bus models, the EB 8 and EB 12, which meet the strict standards of the European Union.
VinFast will launch its electric bus product line for the first time at the Busworld Europe 2025 Exhibition, taking place from October 3 to October 9 in Brussels, Belgium.
The EB 12 is fully certified by UNECE and CE. From size, configuration to range and charging compatibility, the model is specially designed for the European market to meet local regulations and infrastructure conditions, ensuring seamless integration into the European transport system.
VinFast EB 8 and EB 12 are equipped with LFP battery packs from reputable global suppliers such as CATL and Gotion, with a capacity of up to 422 kWh and a real-life range of up to 400 km. Fast charging capability with a capacity of up to 140 kW helps the car to be fully charged in just 2-3 hours.
The car's smart technology system includes ADAS features such as Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Acceleration Assist, Forward Collision Warning and Driver Drowsiness Warning. Passengers also enjoy amenities such as Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, entertainment systems and a suspension system with a lowered feature, making it convenient for passengers to get in and out.
At the same time, VinFast also revealed for the first time its strategy to penetrate deeply into the potential public transport market in Europe. The focus of this strategy is to proactively seek and establish cooperative relationships with leading partners in the transport and infrastructure industry in Europe, paving the way for a strong and sustainable presence of VinFast electric buses across the continent.
Before entering the European market, VinFast's electric bus product line was put into operation and used on the first electric bus route in Vietnam 4 years ago.
In Vietnam, VinFast has built a complete electric bus ecosystem, from production, operation to maintenance, strongly creating a green public transport network in major cities. The Company's electric bus production capacity is up to 1,500 - 2,000 vehicles per year. The entire production process complies with CE standards.
VinFast's vision is fully aligned with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement and Europe's green transition goals: aiming to reduce emissions by 43% by 2030, ensuring 90% of new buses are zero-emission by 2030 and reaching 100% by 2035.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of VinFast, shared : “We always consider Europe as one of our strategic markets, not only because of its development potential but also because of our shared vision of a green and sustainable future. The launch of the VinBus electric bus line at Busworld is a strong affirmation of VinFast's long-term commitment to the region. In addition to personal electric car models, we want to build a comprehensive green transformation ecosystem, thereby making electrified transportation more accessible than ever. With an increasingly diverse product range, we are confident that we will create a zero-emission transportation system, bringing a greener, cleaner life to European people.”
In the European market, VinFast has introduced the B-segment electric SUV VF 6 and D-segment electric SUV VF 8, along with particularly attractive sales and after-sales policies, closely following the philosophy of "Putting customers at the center".
The strategy of expanding its electric bus product line internationally is not only an opportunity for VinFast to affirm its production capacity and technological innovation, but also highlights its long-term commitment, accompanying key European goals of promoting public transport, reducing emissions and building smart, sustainable cities, realizing the mission of "Making electric vehicles more accessible for everyone"./.
