VinFast was the only representative from Southeast Asia to present at COP28.

On December 4th, the Global CEO of VinFast Auto (Nasdaq: VFS) (“VinFast”) spoke at the panel discussion “Strengthening Sustainable Supply Chain Resilience” within the framework of the Sustainable Trade Forum at COP28.

At the Sustainable Trade Forum, VinFast presented multifaceted strategies aimed at promoting supply chain resilience, withstanding global disruptions, and minimizing environmental impacts.

VinFast also shared its strategy for modernizing and optimizing its supply chain for its vertically integrated model. In addition, VinFast contributed approaches from a Southeast Asian business perspective to enhance the flexibility and sustainability of its global supply chain.

Representing ASEAN businesses at the COP28 Sustainable Trade Forum, VinFast affirmed its strong commitment to promoting innovation, contributing to a zero-emission economy , and working towards a more sustainable future for all.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Global CEO of VinFast, shared: “ As a global electric vehicle manufacturer that is always innovative and constantly developing, we are proud to participate in and contribute to important discussions about the future of the world trade system. We aspire to contribute our unique perspectives and approaches to modernize the world trade system together, benefiting more countries, establishing a more comprehensive, deep, and sustainable supply chain to protect our future and our planet .”

Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State and Minister of Economy of the UAE, stated: “ At the Sustainable Trade Roundtable, we expect to bring together leaders from both the public and private sectors to share and discuss innovative solutions to strengthen global supply chains. Modernizing the multilateral trading system will have a tremendous positive impact and can significantly contribute to global climate change mitigation goals .”

In addition to the session on "Strengthening the Resilience of Sustainable Supply Chains," VinFast representatives also participated in a discussion on the electrification of transportation in Vietnam, organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport and UNDP Vietnam.

The company shared its experience in developing the electric mobility ecosystem in Vietnam, from manufacturing and developing electric vehicle models to developing a comprehensive electrified transportation ecosystem and charging infrastructure on a nationwide scale.

The Sustainable Trade Forum, held as part of Trade Day, was organized for the first time at the Climate Change Conference. It was chaired by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State and Minister of Economy of the UAE, and was attended by global leaders, industry experts, and representatives from leading businesses worldwide.

Throughout the 12-day event, VinFast's premium electric vehicle, the VF 9, will be showcased at the Dubai City Expo. The event also marks the first time the VF 9 has been introduced to the UAE market.
