The Royal Bridge invested by Vingroup across the Cam River is nearly 2.2 km long, 21 m wide with 4 lanes, and 17.5 m wide approach bridges on both sides. Designed with the idea of "World Gateway Bridge", the project stands out with two unique bridge towers leaning towards the river, creating a curved arch like a door welcoming international arrivals and sending off ships to the world. The shape of each bridge tower is inspired by the image of a soaring bird, expressing Hai Phong's development aspirations. When the project comes into operation, it will be one of the impressive highlights, a symbol of the Port City after the historical milestone of expanding administrative boundaries on July 1, 2025.
The bridge starts on Vu Yen Island, connects directly to Vu Yen Park walking street, and ends at Le Thanh Tong Street (Gia Vien Ward, Hai Phong City). This strategic connection not only helps people move conveniently and quickly but also establishes Vu Yen's leading position in the development space of Thuy Nguyen - the new administrative center of Hai Phong.
Located entirely on Vu Yen Island with a strongly invested connecting infrastructure, combined with the milestone of the Royal Bridge officially opening to traffic, Vinhomes Royal Island is converging all the factors of "heavenly time - favorable location - harmony" for explosive development, opening up a prosperous future for the elite residents of the "Royal Island City" in particular and the most breakthrough investment - business opportunities in the region.
In terms of timing, Vinhomes Royal Island inherits the driving force from the new era of Hai Phong - the super city with the third largest GRDP in the country after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is shaped to create the only free trade zone in the North.
In terms of location, the project possesses superior traffic connections, with a complete "road - waterway - air" planning, the pillars being Hoang Gia bridge, Vu Yen bridge, Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh - Mong Cai expressway, Cat Bi airport and the strategic belt road system connecting the Northeast region.
In terms of human resources, Vinhomes Royal Island is the only resort island urban area in Vietnam that brings together an elite ecosystem with the 36-hole Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong golf course, Vinpearl Horse Academy, Vinhomes Royal Island marina, VinWonders Vu Yen theme park or Vincom Mega Mall Royal Island shopping center expected to open in the third quarter of 2025, attracting millions of tourists to relax and have fun all year round.
In the near future, with a series of infrastructure projects being invested in by the city such as Nguyen Trai Bridge - the 6th bridge across the Cam River, expanding Nguyen Trai Street from 18m to 43.5-50.5m connecting directly to Le Hong Phong; building a road along the Cam River connecting Ngo Quyen Street with the riverside road at the foot of Hoang Van Thu Bridge; relocating Hoang Dieu Port and renovating the surrounding area, Vinhomes Royal Island in particular and Thuy Nguyen in general will be a strong growth pole on the economic map of Hai Phong in particular and the Northern region in general.
