At 7:00 a.m. on March 26, the VNDIRECT Securities Company's homepage announced: "The entire VNDIRECT technology team, in coordination with leading experts in the market, is focusing on fixing the system to put basic features into operation to serve customers. Currently, the VNDIRECT technology team has obtained the recovery key, but due to the large data system, the recovery speed is slower than expected. With the support of the best experts in the field, we are determined to put the system back into operation as soon as possible."
Immediately afterwards, at 7:45 a.m., the content of the notice was changed and also stated that the VNDIRECT system is currently in the process of being repaired and reconnected. The notice also confirmed: "All customer information and assets are guaranteed to be safe and unaffected. The incident only affects current customer transactions. We are reconnecting the system, due to the large amount of data, it will take longer than expected."
VNDIRECT announced on the morning of March 26 that it had the key code, but the system recovery was slower than expected due to large data.

Late at night on March 25, the State Securities Commission issued a notice requiring securities companies to ensure that their information technology systems and backup databases operate safely and continuously in accordance with Clause 10, Article 89 of the 2019 Securities Law. In addition, proactively review and immediately check security plans for the company's information technology systems, especially the securities trading system and systems connected to the internet to promptly fix security vulnerabilities (if any).
Conduct checks on online transaction processes; risk control processes; system and data backup processes; IT system operation management processes; develop response measures and remedies for potential security risks... Report the results of the review, inspection, and remedial measures (if any) to the State Securities Commission and relevant units before April 1.
