The death of a mother and child shows no signs of criminality.

On May 28, information from the Criminal Police Department of Ha Tinh Province Police said that this unit has just concluded the initial investigation into the cause of the case of a mother and child found dead at home, their bodies decomposing.

Accordingly, through the examination of the scene and autopsy, the preliminary investigation agency determined that Ms. Phan Thi P. (86 years old, residing in Trung Doai village, Cam Duong commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh) had died about 1 month ago. Ms. P. died lying on a bed covered with a blanket, her body was decomposing, her bones had no impact and there was no basis to conclude the cause of death.

Ms. Phan Thi N. (47 years old, daughter of Mr. P.) passed away nearly a week ago and the cause of death was myocardial infarction. At the time her body was discovered, Ms. N. was wearing normal clothes, had no injuries on her body or sexual assault, only her feet were decomposed.

Initially, the investigation agency determined that the case had no signs of criminality.

Investigators determined that the case of a mother and child dying at home showed no signs of criminality.

As Thanh Nien reported, at around 9am on May 27, people in Trung Doai village (Cam Duong commune) smelled a foul smell coming from Mr. P's house so they went in to check and were shocked to discover Mr. P's daughter dead on the porch, and Mr. P also dead in bed. People immediately reported the incident to local authorities and functional agencies.

Immediately after receiving the news, Cam Xuyen District Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of Ha Tinh Province Police to arrive at the scene to conduct an autopsy to investigate the cause of death of the mother and child.
