The Department of Education and Training of Binh Thanh District has just officially reported on the incident of students at Dong Da Secondary School fighting.

Specifically, after the incident, the Department of Education and Training requested the school to report. According to the principal, after the 4th period on October 25, student TNL (class 9A5) beat student TTĐ (class 9A5) in class. At that time, a student filmed a clip and many students stood watching.

The school principal invited all the students involved to make a report. The principal assigned the homeroom teacher of class 9A5 to invite parents to discuss and coordinate with the school to resolve the incident in order to deter and educate the students; and asked the student who recorded the clip to immediately delete the clip.

According to the Binh Thanh District Department of Education and Training, realizing that the incident affected the students' psychology, caused anger among parents and the school's reputation, the Department of Education and Training requested the school to establish a disciplinary council to handle the case. Accordingly, students TNL and TTĐ of class 9A5, depending on the level of violation, will be subject to disciplinary action including suspension from school for a period of 1 to 2 weeks; downgraded conduct in the first semester and continued monitoring of the learning process to assess progress in the second semester.

Students involved will be disciplined depending on the level.

For students who film and watch, depending on the level of violation, there will be disciplinary action, reprimand, and notification to the student's parents to coordinate and help the student overcome the shortcomings. During the flag-raising ceremony, the school principal mentioned the incident to warn and remind the students of the whole school to not let similar incidents happen.

The Department of Education and Training of Binh Thanh District also criticized the Board of Directors of Dong Da Secondary School and directed schools in the area to pay special attention to student management, strengthen supervision activities to prevent school violence, enhance life skills education for students, and effectively promote the role of school psychological counseling information.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , from the evening of October 29, a clip went viral on social media about a male student swearing and hitting another male student in the head and face. The incident took place right in the classroom.

The beaten student just sat there holding his head and did not fight back. Some students around witnessed it, but only one student advised him to "calm down" and "it's too late." The others did not firmly stop him. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training later requested the Binh Thanh District Department of Education and Training to report the incident.
