Naval Region 3 helps people in the Central region overcome the consequences of rain and flood

Faced with the extremely complicated situation of rain and floods in the Central provinces, on the morning of October 29, the Naval Region 3 Command deployed forces and vehicles to the affected areas to support and rescue people.

The Command of Region 3 has directed units to proactively, urgently and resolutely implement plans, arrange on-duty personnel and means to prevent and effectively respond to heavy rains, landslides and flash floods in the area; at the same time, deploy rescue teams to quickly approach households in flood-prone areas to reduce damage and protect people's lives and property.

The region mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers, with 3 boats and 8 cars of various types to quickly move to heavily flooded areas including: Phong Dien ward (Hue city); communes and wards: Ha Nha, Hoa Tien, Hoi An, Dien Ban ( Da Nang city).

Officers and soldiers of Region 3 will coordinate with the Party Committee, authorities and functional forces to set up warning signs at landslide and deep-flooded areas; provide necessities including instant noodles, dry food, drinking water, canned meat, military medicine and some other essential living materials; propagate and mobilize people not to go to dangerous areas, and support the evacuation of households from areas at risk of being unsafe.
